X700 is designed with a balanced CPU to Harddisk capacity ratio. 12 x JBRs give each of the 24 dual socket compute nodes an additional 14 x 3.5" harddisk. This design is suitable for OpenStack & Hadoop compute applications for public and private clouds. Datacenter operators are welcome to choose among X300, X500, and X700, or deploy them all in the same environment to achieve a balanced workload according to their demand.
